ALFESS

The ALFESSTM  is a new solution for drop foot. It is a cuff based system which provides a smooth and comfortable fit. It corrects the foot drop during walking and it uses sensors to adjust the timing of stimulation to the user’s walking speed.

The device is positioned on the lower limb below the knee. Sensors within the cuff then go against the skin and deliver electrical impulses through the skin which stimulate the nerves to the lower limb muscles. This then assists the foot to lift.
