Sam Gaunt
Physiotherapist, Lead for Falls and Balance
Samantha qualified as a physiotherapist at the University of Chichester. Following graduation, she worked within the NHS, at St. Richard’s Hospital, before moving into the private sector to focus on the rehabilitation of neurological conditions.
During a previous career as a professional dancer, ‘Dance Captain’ and entertainment manager, Samantha sailed to over 100 countries onboard luxury cruise liners. Naturally, such a physically demanding job led to a fascination with our amazing bodies and how to look after them.
Both careers have shaped her clinical rehabilitation skills. With a desire for all to lead an active, happy lifestyle came a passion for supporting people in their physical and psychological wellbeing, whilst at sea and here today in clinic! Samantha is a great believer in helping an individual recognise their capabilities and supporting them to exceed these. She wishes to make exercise rehabilitation work for the individual as part of well-balanced treatment management.
Samantha is BA Hons (Dance and Theatre Performance) and BSc Hons (Physiotherapy) qualified, is a certified Pilates instructor, PD Warrior Champion and paid Florence Nightingale Foundation contributor.
Outside clinic Sam is never too far from the sea; walking, cycling or attempting to kite surf.
